My contribution to the YCN alphabet

A few moons ago I was asked by the good people at the Young Creative Network (or the YCN for those in a hurry) to contribute a letter design for a typeface they were compiling for the 2007/2008 YCN Book.

When the brief came in I was visiting my Grandmother who happens to live in a lovely little village in the midlands, but as I soon realised, ‘lovely little villages’ are not totally conducive to letterform design. Trying hard to remember my Cub Scout training, and with nothing to hand apart from a couple of spare kitchen tiles, some candle wax and a few ink cartridges, I managed to knock my inky F up (no pun intended).

Kindly they also featured some of my less hasty efforts in their book.
