Felt-tip Postcard Challenge

Kitchen cupboard postcards

Returning from a holiday I’ve come to appreciate the simplicity of the postcard. There’s something about the resemblance of the medium to a very slow text message (you can fit too much into an email) that fascinates me: simultaneously throw-away and intensely personal.

Whilst away I purchased a fresh, but cheap, pack of felt-tips with an eye to making a series of postcards from some scrap cardboard. Then drew the contents of the kitchen cupboard.

The medium of choice

Lyle's Black Stuff, also known as treacle

Bannana (I was amazed Royal Mail delivered this)

Marmite, love it or hate it, it's a great cure for baldness

The sell-by-date stated 1973

Better from the tap or the can?

Sainsbury's own, delicious!

Found at the back of the UK's cupboard
