Missing Links

Missing Links, book jacket, headache
Missing Links was my D&AD Student Awards submission from yesteryear, and looking back through the haze of time I realise it was an idea that nearly didn’t make it.
For months I tried to explain to my friends what I was trying to do, and each time my blathering was met by the same puzzled expression with the furrowed response: ‘So you want to make a children’s book to promote paper?’ Eventually I snapped and just made the damn thing, believing the power of the all-mighty pun would bag me the coverted prize. It didn’t.

Did you get it? Although it didn’t win the prize or get a mention in the annual, I was really pleased with the outcome. The book has held up well, it’s sitting on my shelf as a write, a reminder of the days when assembling presentation boards in an office carpark were commonplace. Those were the days.
