It appears a week can't go by without someone seeing Jesus in a baked potato, and it's this phenomenon of subjective 'seeing' that inspired me to pursue this project.

With this in mind I designed a set of pavement slabs, each bearing a slight depression to indicate its 'mark'. To the casual eye each slab appears perfectly flat, yet when exposed to rain the extra surface water trapped in the slab's depressions results in a slower rate of evaporation allowing the slab's 'mark' to appear.

Using this modular system subtle typography can be made to appear using the changing environment.
